Upskilling workers can create entry level positions and a pipeline for new positions, and can strengthen employment retention by either increasing wages and/or benefits as a result.
Objectives: To support a dual customer approach(business and grantee), a series of webinars has been scheduled for the week of August 12th to promote Incumbent Worker Training as a Business Engagement Tool to increase their business engagement focus and to assist in meeting a positive outcomes in this performance measure. The webinar design would highlight noted practices using both a competitive grantee and a State/local example, along with a business representative that will speak to how incumbent worker training has helped support their business efforts.
