To support the Workforce Innovation Cohort on Disability and Employment, the Employer Engagement team addressed the following challenge question: How might we more effectively engage employers with recruiting, hiring, and training job seekers with disabilities as an integrated strategy of the American Job Center service delivery? - The Council of State Governments’ Stay-at-Work/Return-to-Work (SAW/RTW) Toolkit- SAW/RTW strategies help improve the ability of employees who acquire and/or at risk of developing work disabilities stay at work or return to work.Employers that invest in SAW/RTW strategies can increase their savings/profit by reducing its paid workers’ compensation benefits.To support American Job Centers, this toolkit provides an overview of this emerging practice on improving accessibility to help increase retention of labor force participation of people with disabilities.

- Getting to Equal: The Disability Inclusion Advantage- New research from Accenture, in partnership with Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities, highlights that companies that embrace best practices for employing and supporting more persons with disabilities in their workforce have outperformed their peers. This 17-page report includes a business case to build an inclusive workplace through implementing four key action steps: Employ, Enable, Engage, and Empower.
