During the month of May, the nation observes Older Americans Month. As it relates to employment, there continues to be a demographic shift of an aging workforce. In 2016, the U.S. disability prevalence rate for the age between 65 to 74 was 25.3 percent. ETA is pleased to highlight this public service announcement video from the New England ADA Center discussing the role of the ADA to support older Americans with acquired disabilities.

The Federal Register published SCSEP Information Collection Request (ICR) on March 21, 2018. The Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration is soliciting comments concerning a proposed extension for the authority to conduct the ICR titled, “Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). This comment request is part of continuing Departmental efforts to reduce paperwork and respondent burden in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA).

This webinar will discuss the changes to the SCSEP Regulations through the release of the 2017 IFR. The purpose of the IFR is to revise the SCSEP performance accountability measures to align with requirements set forth in the Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act of 2016 (OAA-2016). This informative webinar will provide SCSEP grantees an understanding of the new requirements such as the changes to core performance measures and goal negotiation.
