While much attention remains on the after math of Harvey, we now have Hurricane Ima; one of the strongest storms recorded in the Atlantic has hit the eastern Caribbean on Wednesday. Irma is traveling toward South Florida with a possibility that South Carolina could be in Irma’s path as well.
Last week, we posted two resources we hope will be helpful for you. We would like to initiate a SCSEP check in using the Community of Practice (CoP). Over the years, we all turn to the internet for updates and help. The internet has become a form of information sharing and collecting. Therefore, we thought using our discussion topic on the CoP would be a simple way to stay connected with us and your SCSEP peers.
Through the discussion topic, you can let us know that you, your participants and host agencies are safe. Also, help each other in monitoring the situation in areas that impacts each of you and of course let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to everyone who has been adversely impacted by Harvey and Irma. We will continue to monitor the current situation and any updates related to Hurricane Jose and Katia.
A way to stay connected with DOL and your SCSEP peers; what’s happening in your local area?
