This is a follow up on a previous post on Commuting Data for Older Workers with new insights on patterns with disabilities. 

This new insight takes a closer look at commuting patterns of older workers highlighting those with disabilities. People with disabilities are prominent in the older workforce and how they get to work is sometimes different from other workers’ commutes.

There are some unique considerations for older workers face with commuting such as driving alone to work, public transportation, commuting times, and other challenges with disabilities.

Older workers are a diverse group whose commuting patterns are varied. Specifically, Older Workers with disabilities need to have their challenges addressed in the forefront of the conversation as well. Grantees can accommodate the needs of this growing share of the working population by understanding their commuting behavior and the differences from that of younger workers.
